Production Administrator

The role:
An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator on the late shift as part of the Production Team in Northampton.

Purpose of Role:
To work as an administrator in a fast paced food environment ensuring that the systems and processes are followed to ensure correct inventory management to facilitate both production and warehouse environments. To mix your time between label store and production depending on requirements

Responsibilities:
• Booking out pallets on both floors
• Back flushing (consumption analysis)all shifts pallets
• Reporting any errors from booking out (any shift) to warehouse manager to be reversed – ability to resolve.
• Reporting on spreadsheet any packaging items not consumed from booking out.
• Issuing raw materials once order is complete
• Processing holiday forms to spread sheet and forwarding to HR
• Taking safety shoe orders
• Assist with monthly and annual stock takes
• Inventory management control
• Support material variance investigation
• Ordering packaging for both floors is in line with daily requirements
• Ordering of production orders on a daily basis to be in line with requirements. Working closely with planning and warehouse to ensure stock levels on upper/lower floor are to correct levels and we have enough space for items.
• Ensure non stock count is completed and submitted to purchasing.
• Ensure Back flushing (consuming) and material issuing is completed correctly.
• Booking out for all shifts
• Checking through production supply and dealing with any long term outstanding issues
• Coordinating month end count issuing count sheets to upper and lower floor
• Processing month end count all departments
• Supervision of packing administrators and label store operatives to ensure correct procedures and processes are followed
• Working closely with different departments to ensure operational departments run smoothly and areas are kept in good order.
• Assisting supervisors and warehouse with returns.

• Issuing pre-printed labels to lines
• Printing bar code labels and any other label requested for other departments
• Processing plan and printing labels for bags in the mill and issuing materials for the labels
• Receipt of label deliveries. Follow correct receipt procedures.
• Preparing sample labels for QA and processing delivery paperwork
• Following label return procedures, ensuring correct stock control
• Issuing the labels to relevant areas.
• Spot check weekly count on labels to ensure correct inventory
• Count non stock items once a week.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have the following experience and attributes:
• Knowledge of the food industry or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• IT literate;
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not essential (training given);
• Excel skills advantageous;
• Ability to work to deadlines;
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills;
• Strong work ethic;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Adaptable and flexible attitude to working shifts;
• Ability to work on own initiative;
• Good communication skills.

Hours:
Monday to Friday 14.45 to 22.45hrs
