Design office support

Summary of Role:
The position supports the design team with processing new product designs and modifications in terms of BOM (Bills of Material) creation and checking as well as organising the design packs and record management.

The role as Design Office Support will require you to have experience in office administration and data entry. You will work within the Engineering Design team, providing support to the business on both new and existing products.

Adhering at all times to the Company’s Health and Safety, 2 Minute Warning and Near Miss Reporting policies/procedures.
Take on any other reasonable duties that are within employee’s skills and abilities from time to time as required.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the design team by entering all new parts onto Oracle
• Creating the bill of materials (BOM) in the correct order
• Collating all drawings for the nesting sheets, to aid the sheet metal
• Booking in all new NPR’s (New Product Release) and APR’s (Advance Product Release) onto a list
• Creating new radiator parts lists which are a re-instatement or just a variant
• Create a holiday list from report every Monday
• Telephone and reception
• Any other requests from the business

Background and Experience:
Desirable but not essential experience:
• BOM (Bills of Material) creation / checking
• Use of Oracle or similar ERP Enterprise resource Planning) systems
• General office admin

£8.50 per hour
