Care Manager

Hours: 37.5 hours per week working shifts on a rota basis, to include alternate weekends
My client is located in Leicester, who are now recruiting for an experienced and dedicated healthcare professional to join them as a Care Manager. As Care Manager, you will need to support the Home Manager across all aspects of home management whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, care and clinical excellence.
The key responsibilities of our Care Manager role include:
• Supporting the Home Manager and their deputy in overseeing the planning and delivery of a consistently high standard of person-centred care for all residents including residents who live with dementia and their families
• Monitoring the standards of care delivered by staff by observation and direct involvement; ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care at all times
• Supporting colleagues with care plans and all other resident documentation, including leading on care planning for new residents
• Contributing fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly, including attendance at all staff meetings.
• Undertaking medication audits, care plan audits and staff supervision in partnership with the Deputy Manager
• Having a robust working knowledge of national and local dementia regulations, policies and initiatives and how these impact on the needs of the home, including DoLs, the MHA and MCA.
• Completing DoLs referrals in the absence of the deputy manager.
